Financial Literacy and Economic Empowerment
The Afro-Caribbean Black Mentorship Program (ACMP) Inc. recognizes that financial literacy is an essential foundation for long-term stability, independence, and generational wealth within Afro-Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities. ACMP is dedicated to equipping ACB students and the broader ACB communities across Canada and the Caribbean with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to make informed financial decisions and navigate complex economic systems.

Through culturally relevant and accessible programming, ACMP introduces participants to essential financial concepts, including budgeting, saving, credit and wealth management, investing, and entrepreneurship. These learning opportunities are rooted in the lived experiences of ACB students and acknowledge the structural barriers that often restrict access to financial knowledge and resources.
Beyond basic skills, ACMP connects students with financial professionals, mentors, and institutions to clarify wealth-building pathways and expand access to economic opportunities. Participants acquire practical strategies for managing personal finances, preparing for post-secondary expenses, and building sustainable financial futures.
By emphasizing financial literacy as a form of empowerment, ACMP helps ACB youth and broader communities move beyond merely surviving towards achieving long-term economic mobility and collective prosperity. This effort not only improves individual outcomes but also helps create more financially resilient families and communities across the Afro-Caribbean diaspora.
