Publication Support
The ACMP recognizes that knowledge production is a vital area for empowerment, visibility, and systemic change. Supporting Afro-Caribbean and Black (ACB) students in creating academic and public publications is key to our goal of advancing educational equity and highlighting community-informed perspectives across Canada and the Caribbean. Through dedicated mentorship, writing assistance, and access to scholarly and professional networks, ACMP provides students with the skills and confidence to engage effectively in academic discussions and public conversations.

Participants are guided through the entire process of knowledge creation—from developing research questions rooted in lived experience, to writing, editing, and sharing work across academic journals, community platforms, and media outlets. This support not only enhances students’ academic paths but also ensures that ACB voices are represented in spaces where they have been historically underrepresented or excluded.
By fostering opportunities for publication, ACMP affirms that Afro-Caribbean and Black students are not only learners but also knowledge creators, thought leaders, and change agents. Their work contributes to vital conversations on race, identity, education, and social justice, while also influencing policies, practices, and narratives that affect their communities. In doing so, ACMP promotes a model of education that is both transformative and accountable to the communities it serves, connecting academic excellence with public impact across local and transnational contexts.
