Meet Durand L. Blackett
Durand runs a wealth management practice and works with professionals and business owners, so they have a roadmap and action plan toward financial success. Over the years he has found that poor planning and lack of guidance often lead to critical gaps between where clients are and where they want to be.
Born and raised on the beautiful island of Barbados Durand moved to Winnipeg, Canada in 2018. In 2019 he began working with RBC. Before moving to Canada, He enjoyed various roles in the Banking Industry in Barbados, and as an Insurance Agent at Sagicor Life Inc.

"Financial literacy has become something deeply personal to me. Over the years, I’ve realized that money is rarely just about numbers. It’s about opportunity, security, and the ability to make choices about the life you want to live. Yet so many people are never given the chance to truly learn how money works. We’re expected to navigate mortgages, investments, taxes, retirement planning, and debt without ever being properly taught the fundamentals. That gap is what drives my passion. I believe financial literacy is one of the most powerful forms of empowerment. When people understand how money works, everything begins to change. Decisions become clearer. Anxiety around finances begins to fade. Long-term thinking replaces short-term reactions.
